I've been to Thailand 3 times now. On two of the trips I kept myself and people back home amused and connected by sending home stories of my adventures. Doing so was a very enjoyable way of staying in tune with my days, and capturing the experiences.
The first trip was a long one that featured a lot of brilliant scuba diving on the west coast, excellent motorbiking in the north, and a bunch of aimless knocking about. Read all about it here. Photos from this trip can be found in the related galleries.
The second trip, just after the tsunami of 2004, was unchronicled.
The 3rd trip was dedicated largely to taking a motorbike out of Chiang Mai, heading along the Mekhong on the north border, swinging down in a circle through Isaan, and back around the east and north of this totally enjoyable and cheery country. Chronicles of these days of freedom are here. There's no photo gallery for this trip, but the writing's better.
