Can I show a slide show with "prev", "next", "pause", controls right in the same html page. Meaning, I don't need for the slide show to float on top of the html page. I want it static in a particular area of the page. I saw a similar demo but it doesn't have controls.

You can't do this currently with floatbox.

I have a tentative enhancement on the books that will allow for embedding a floatbox into the base page as you describe. There is another more certain enhancement to add controls to the cycling image sets. When this is done, it may be a better option for a slideshow on the base page than an embedded floatbox would be, and so there may be no point in pursuing the embedded floatbox.

However, I try to make floatbox suitable for what people who use it need and want, and not just what I imagine they might want. So if I hear of a demand for the ability to embed floatboxes, it's highly likely I'll respond to that demand.
